Greyton Autumn Art Walk: 22-24 March 2024

Greyton Art Walk (GAW) celebrates its eighth year of presenting art and inspiring artists. Our primary goal remains to create a platform for artists to show their work and to reestablish Greyton as an art village destination in the Western Cape.

The GAW organizers are thrilled to inform that more than 180 art items were sold during the previous two GAW weekends, with 60 artists showing each year. Greyton has also re-stablished itself as THE art village, with eight galleries and places to visit, as well as a Sunday art market.

Free entrance to all galleries and GAW Art Centers (November 2024) will allow you to view over a thousand works of art, including 600 produced by children.

Our approach to introducing you to art in our delightful town of Greyton is to “walk the experience” with our tour to all open studios and GAW Explorer brochure. We’ve established our QR code We’ve establishes our qr-code enabled website, which will help to promote Greyton, the companies, and the artist.

GAW 2024 is in full planning with more art to Greyton:

Our website with a QR-code is live and this will promote the artist, businesses and Greyton more.

Our new approach is to hold an Art and Wine weekend on  22- 24 March 2024, which we call the Autumn Art Walk.

At Greyton’s CBD, 30 artists will showcase their work in our beautiful cafes and “stoeps.” You’ll see a map with GAW flags pointing you to each exhibit location. This year’s theme is “To the Moon,” and artwork sent to the moon by Sue Tatham, a GAW 2024 participant, will be displayed. She will also offer two casual presentations about her unusual art project, which NASA sent to the moon. Read more about Sue here.

Artists can apply online to be part of GAW 2024!
