Drill in Eikestad Mall mandatory
Eikestad Mall Centre Management confirmed this morning that a mandatory evacuation drill was carried out today, Tuesday 10 May 2022, as part of standard safety procedures and as a key requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Evacuation procedures are carried out on a regular basis to ensure the highest standards of operational safety and crisis preparedness.
“The safety of our customers, tenants, staff and the general public are of the utmost importance, and today’s evacuation drill was standard procedure and no cause for alarm. The evacuation drill was conducted effectively, and all processes were appropriately followed.
”Partners responsible for carrying out the drill, included the Fire Department, SAPS, Emergency Services, Law Enforcement, Disaster Management, Fidelity Security and ER24, ensuring the exercise was a success,” said André Williams, General Manager at Eikestad Mall.
Trading at Eikestad Mall continues as normal.
