Culinary experience amongst vines at iconic wine farm
L’Avenir Wine Estate is delighted to extend a warm invitation to the debut of their new monthly culinary event, the “Lucky 13 Burger Pop-Up,” carefully crafted by Chef Nic van Wyk. Guests, along with their families, are invited to join this culinary experience on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM, at L’Avenir Estate, situated in the heart of Stellenbosch wine country.
This event provides an excellent opportunity for a pleasant afternoon before the Rugby World Cup final.
Guests can look forward to a selection of thoughtfully crafted burgers:
- THE LUCKY 13: A 200g Venison patty, smoked mozzarella cheese, tomato jam, pickled cucumbers, aioli, red onions, and wild rocket on a toasted sesame seed bun.
- THE 3-ONION SMASH BURGER: Featuring 2x100g smashed beef patties, 2 slices of cheddar cheese, and char-roasted white, red, and spring onions, served in a soft white bun with tomato and mustard sauce.
- THE BEEFY PIG: A 200g beef pacy with crispy bacon, BBQ sauce, melted white cheddar, pickles, roasted marinated tomatoes, and fine-sliced red onions on a toasted sesame seed bun.
- THE HOT AND CRISPY BIRD: A marinated deboned chicken “guns,” buttermilk, and spiced flour batter, dunked in chipotle hot sauce and served on aioli-dressed rainbow coleslaw, nestled between soft white rolls.
- KIDDIES BEEF OR CHICKEN BURGER: Specially designed for young guests. These burgers range from R120 to R130 (kiddies burgers are R70) and come with a side of triple-cooked homemade chips, seasoned with smoked paprika salt. A glass of L’Avenir’s Pinotage or Chenin Blanc pairs perfectly with these meals. The Lucky 13 Burger Pop-Up will be a monthly event held on the last Saturday of each month, starting on October 28th.
